Episode 31 ~ moving foward

The next few weeks weren't easy for anyone. The next day Chris and Alex were released from the hospital. Strangly enough Chris had made a miraculous recovery. He ended up with 4 broken ribs, and his right leg broken. He wasn't able to use crutches very well, but refused a wheelchair, and the vertebrate that they thought were broken, were actually just bruised.

It was conventient that the guys' next tour was actually canceled. It was only going to be a few dates in South America, but becuase a big hurricane had damaged much of the coast, they were unable to appear.

When Alex came home a few hours after Chris, she stayed with Lance and Amanda. JC stayed too, and Justin tried to get out.. to leave but JC made him stay telling him "it doesn't matter whos baby it is.. we are all going to talk this out together"

So one night, a week after the baby died, all of them sat down to talk everything over. JC insisted that Chris, Amanda and Lance be there even though they were very uncomfortable. JC apoligized, Justin apoligized.. everyone sat around apoligizing and crying and trying to put the horrible week behind them.

After they were done, Amanda left to go outside and garden, dragging Lance with her to help her carry bags of dirt and trays of flowers. Chris went to his room, and wasn't heard from for hours but Justin tried again to get out of the house. He didn't feel right being here. He felt like the homewrecker trying to live with the people he had wronged. So many times they had acted like it was his fault, he began to believe it. Alex and JC were right.. this was all his fault, he thought. He didn't want to ruin anyone elses life by being there, because thats all he had done, was hurt people.

JC caught him before he could get out the door, and forced him to stay. He said "we all have to remember how to be a family again, and you are not leaving until we all get our happy ending"

That day, after their little talking thing, Alex went to get the mail and saw the paternity test. She walked into the bathroom, locked the door behind her and began to open it. She got the envelope open when her hand was so violently shaking that she dropped the paper. She looked at it lying on the floor. It's not worth it now, she thought. knowing this won't bring my baby back, it will only change things and make even more problems. So she looked around quickly and saw Amanda's lighter gun thing she used to light the candles in the bathroom. She picked it up, turned it on and set the paper on fire, throwing it into the toilet and flushing it. As she walked outof the bathroom, she missed the paper swirling around.. for a split second the name of the babies father was shown: JC.

(lol, this always happens on Soaps. Someone walks away, however the audience can see what they missed. Since obviously this isn't a show, you can't see it but I felt that someone out there might wanna know that the baby was really JC's.. its kinda important to the story in a way, but in another its not. For some of you who wanna know the behind the scenes crap to this story, Check out the 'Making the Soap Opera' section I'm gonna be putting up soon! Originally Alex was gonna have the baby and a completly different father was gonna be named. However, it could never really work out that way, and besides it would kinda portray her character as a whore rather than a person who made a mistake.. so yeah.)
